Description
A nice Egyptian faience bead pectoral and earring set. The pectoral is comprised of multicolored faience tube and disk beads, Late Period, c. 664 – 30 BC, of high quality with a central row of coral tube beads, perhaps from an earlier period. The beads are all strung on modern cord and brass fittings in ancient style and are matched by a nice pair of earrings of the clip on variety, the beads strung in a beautiful fashion with a decorative antique brass finding at top. A very handsome matching set mounted on a red board which is easily removable to wear the pieces. As mounted the necklace measures 8 ¼ in x 7 ¾ in (20.8 x 19.7 cm). Ex collection of Olga Hirshhorn, Florida.
