ENGLAND, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
An English Romanticist oil on board painting of a farmer and two horses. The work depicts a farmer on horseback with another by his side stopped at a watering hole. The painting is illuminated by a bright blue-pink sky casting a reflection of trees on the water naturalistically distorted by ripples. A camp fire is seen burning in the background billowing smoke into the distant middle ground. The work is illegibly signed in the lower right corner. The painting was recently framed in an contemporary antique style frame.

Dimensions: 10" by 8", framed 18 7/8" by 16 7/8".
