Description
Victorian sterling silver tea tray. Made by Walker & Hall in Sheffield in 1896. Oval with pierced linear gallery and gadrooned c-scroll end handles with foliage mounts. Well has engraved rinceaux band with stylized leaves and flowers set in quatrefoils. Interior bands with Vitruvian scroll and guilloche. Center vacant. Rests on 4 squashed ball supports. Hallmark includes no. 53340.
