Item Details

Description

An early 19th century F West of St James street chatelaine. The scallop shape hooked panel, suspending nine chains, each with a tool or other item attached, including a green velvet pin cushion, a pair of folding scissors and an aide memoire with ivory pages. Length 41cms. Weight 293.4gms.

Condition

The condition of this lot is fair, with many patches of discolouration and rust to the metal. The aide memoire has some pencil notes to one of the pages. The cushion to the pin cushion has become detached from the mount.
