Bertrand, Ackermann and Co., [1839-1841]. 24 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches sheet, 35 1/2 x 29 inches framed. A frequent visitor to the Prince’s quarters at Fort Clark, Pehriska-Ruhpa, of Two Ravens, was proud of his beautiful clothing, much of it obtained in trade from the Crow. This is a stunning example of a noted warrior and a wonderful example of Native American finery.
