Description

Items: This 19th century New England hand-cut, sheet copper weather vane is fashioned in the shape of a Spanish Galleon and shows waving flags above its decoratively pierced three masts. The ship is shown sailing through ocean waves and is anchored to a professionally mounted iron base. Featuring a well conserved natural patina of verdigris surfaces, this piece is an outstanding example of 19th century nautically themed folk art.
