Pontic Kingdom, Mithridates VI, 89 to 72 BCE. Restored types of Lysimachus, Callatis, Stater, (8.33 grams). SNG Cop-1089, Müller-259. Obv: Diademed head of Alexander the Great r., perhaps with features of Mithradates, wearing horn of Ammon. Athena seated l., holding Nike who crowns king's name, HPO below her arm, mintmark KA? on throne, trident l. in exergue. Exceptional style for a posthumous Lysimachus. Size: 0.85" W (2.2 cm)
