John Rogers, "The Charity Patient," 19th c., patinated plaster figural group, titled on the integral base, H.- 22 in., W.- 12 1/2 in., W.- 8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Scattered flea to pea size losses to patination intermittently throughout. An approximate 1 inch and ½ inch chip to the bottom edge of the doctor's robe. Four chips measuring 1 ½ inch to 3 inches along the bottom back edge of the base. A 1 inch chip above "Patient". A 2 inch hairline crack along the back of the doctor's neck. Craquelure throughout the woman's hair. A striking study.
