French Louis Philippe Carved Cherry Sideboard, c. 1850, the rectangular top over two frieze drawers above double cupboard doors on a plinth base on bracket feet, H.- 41 1/2 in., W.- 57 in., D.- 24 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. Two keys present. One vertical and two horizontal gaps with woodfill along the seams in the top. An approximate 12 inch crack with woodfill along the back right edge of the top. A 12 inch cluster of gouges along the right side. A 10 inch square black line on the top. Two semi-circular black lines on the back left corner of the top. A 3 inch T-shape crevice from wood beetle exposure on the left side. Front of left foot detached but present. Holes from wood beetle exposure intermittently throughout. An approximate ¼ inch gap between the boards in the left door. Pea-size discolorations scattered across the left side of the front, likely from water damage. A charming piece.
