Victorian Giltwood, Gilt-Metal and Onyx-Top Pedestal, late 19th century, the square onyx top above a waisted cherub-carved capital on a tapering square standard with lattice-patterned panels, raised on a socle base, h. 37", w. 14", d. 14".

In good restored condition. The surface appears to have been re-done, now with some normal mars, scratches and wear, most notable around the bottom of the base. The top exhibits some minor flakes to its perimeter edges. It rotates on metal hardware. The upper section is loose from the base at the joint of the bottom of the pedestal standard and the plinth base.
