Louis XVI Polychrome Bergere, late 18th century, the padded rectangular back within a molded frame, joined to the cushioned seat by padded arms, raised on fluted tapering circular legs ending in toupie feet, h. 33-1/4".

In overall good condition. The piece is tight and solid, with normal shrinkage, mars, wear and abrasions to the polychromed surface creating an attractive patina. The casters are modern brass additions. The upholstery appears to be silk, and is in generally good condition but for a small tear in the back, and a stain on the seat cushion.
