Description
French Art Deco figure of a Woman. Cast in white metal with Bronze patina, circa 1925.
Attributed to Pierre Le Faguay; French, b.1892. Clear foundry mark on base of the foundry where this piece was cast - Max Le Verrier.
Max Le Verrier was the best friend of Pierre Le Faguay. Most of his pieces were cast by this foundry.
As often the case, this piece is not signed by Pierre Fagay. In addition to not signing his work, he sometimes used the pseudonyms Fayal of Guerbe.
This sculpture is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks. Please note that there is a loss to One (1) of the hands (see photo).
Statue is 11 1/2" tall and is mounted on a stepped black and white marble base.
