Scarce first Canadian issue, identical to the first American printing, save for the Canadian publisher‘s imprint on the spine and title page. This, a sequel to The Sea Fairies, is considered one of John R. Neill‘s finest books, filled with vivid fantasy images. Bienvenue & Schmidt p. 247.

Condition

Wear and soiling to binding, corner bumps; light offsetting to endpapers, owner's signature on ownership page, closed tear to margin of plate at p. 60, repair to bottom corner of p. 13, scattered light foxing; very good.
