8th-11th century AD. A mixed pair of bronze belt mounts comprising: one D-shaped with three pierced lugs to the underside, low-relief bird in flight motif, old collector's note to the reverse 'Found at Punic Port, Carthage, 1983'; one similar, tongue-shaped with addorsed birds motif, old collector's note to the reverse 'ACG / Alanya / 1984'. 15 grams total, 34-37mm (1 1/4 - 1 1/2"). Property of an Essex, UK collector; acquired London art market, 1960s-1980s. [2, No Reserve]
