Description
Aviation album kept by Anne Morrow Lindbergh family. Came from the attic of the Elizabeth Morrow School where Morrow's sister Constance was headmaster. Documents aviation history via clippings. Used 19th Century school ledger to do so. Extensive amount of newspaper clippings and magazines all with photographs of leading aviators and their respective planes. About 154 pages. Clipped and pasted material include Charles and Anna Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart (flight testing new Pitcairn auto gyro), Wiley Posy, Ruth Nichols, etc. Dimensions: H 7.75" x W 12.5" x D .75" Condition: Wear to outside of album, separation of pages to spine. Internal pages are in good condition but show much use, pages 133-150 appear to be missing
