Description
A charcoal rubbing made from Al 'Scarface' Capone's headstone at Mt Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Ill. A 4 X 8 color photograph of the headstone accompanies the 26-1/2 in by 15 in framed rubbing on white paper. The lot also includes a framed copy of Capone's 1929 mug shot press photo with a photo copy of the telegram announcing his arrest on the reverse. The rubbing, both paper and frame are in good condition. The mug shot photo has a spot of staining near the top and shows small creases at the bottom corners, all present prior to the framing.
