Description
The lot features a Sioux Native American Indian polychrome parfleche knife sheath with a large Jukescoul Hudson Bay Camp Bowie Knife. The knife is marked, "NONXXL Jukescoul Son & Co Sheffield" and was known as the Hudson Bay Co. Fur Trade Camp Bowie Knife. The knife shows a heavy construction with Buffalo Bison Horn grips and Brass/Copper spots and hilt. This pattern of Camp Bowie Knife was imported by the Hudson Bay Co. and was distributed by various fur traders in the early 19th century, approximately circa 1840's. The knife shows some rust spots, but overall in good condition. The Bowie Knife is 13.5" with an 8" blade. The sheath measures 3.75" x 11.75".
