A GUSTAV ADOLF BREDOW (German 1875-1950) A BRONZE PLAQUE "IN ARTE LIBERTAS," 1910, the light brown patinated rectangular plaque with figures of a nude athlete and an exposed woman with draped robe, centering a flowing fountain with a figure of Diana, reverse with beaded border centering a Jugendstil block inscribed "DER WURTTEMBERGISHE KUNSTVEREIN SEINEN MITGLIEDERN MDCCCCX," signed recto lower left "G.A. BREDOW," and lower right "M&WST." Aptly entitled "Liberty in Art," this plaque was created for the 1910 exhibition of the Wurttemberg Artists Association held in Stuttgart. Height: 2 3/4" Width: 4 3/8"
