ASSORTED THERMOPLASTIC-CASED IMAGES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a pair of tintypes housed in matching oval wall frames with gilded liners and August 7, 1855 patent dates on verso, and two sixth-plate Union cases, one with ambrotype of young girl with clip of hair, other with tintype of elderly man. Third quarter 19th century. Frames 5 1/2" x 4" OA.
Frames and cases in excellent condition with no cracks or losses except for two chips to rear of one frame not visible from the front, one tintype with creases, ambrotype with crazing.
Provenance: From a northern Virginia collection.
