Couchoud, 1 of 300, 6 etchings, spine gilt , 1946, loose sheets, uncut, in stiff wrappers as issued, chemise, slipcase, slightly rubbed; Salome, 2 etchings signed and numbered by Vieillard, 1 explanatory sheet loosely inserted, in stiff wrappers, etched title on upper wrapper, light finger-soiling, n.d., 4to, Paris (3) Roger Vieillard (1907-1989) studied alongside John Buckland-Wright at S. W. Hayter's renowned Atelier 17 in the 1930s. He soon established himself as a master of copper engraving. In 1937 he opened his own press with artist Georges Lecoq-Vallon and published his first of many illustrated books, Apollinaire's Salomé .
