Description
woodcut device on title, woodcut initials, old ink marginalia and underlining scattered throughout, ink names from various dates on title, with ms. fragment bound in at the end from a 13th century, probably French, interpretation of Hebrew Biblical names (under the letter 'G') and further 13th or 14th ?English ms. fragment at the beginning from an unidentified work referencing St Godric of Finchale, each fragment facing part of an early printed leaf, typed note signed by T.C. Skeat (librarian and Keeper of Manuscripts at the British Museum) and dated 1939 mounted onto verso of title, old tape reinforcements to inner margin of title, last f. and English fragment, contemporary calf, worn, hinges pulling and spine badly worn, [not in Adams], 8vo, Lyon, Sebastian de Honoratis , 1557.
