BUFFALO POTTERY JOHN LARKIN 50TH ANNIVERSARY MEDALS, LOT OF TWO, both having one side "FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY", :1825 / 1925", and the "L Co" logo for Larkin and Company, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, as well as an embossed image of the factory and office; and one side with an embossed profile of the Buffalo Pottery and Larkin Soap founder, John D. Larkin. Marked "KILENYI" on one side of both for designer Julio Kilenyi and also marked "WHITEHEAD & HOAG" on one side of each for the company that struck the medals. Circa 1925. 1 1/2" and 3" D.
Excellent undamaged condition.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Phillip M. Sullivan.
Catalogue Note: Julio Kilenyi designed the participation medal for the 1932 Olympics as well as a 1935 Mark Twain Centennial "dollar".
