Description
Six early 19th century American coin silver serving / table spoons. Comprised of three spoons by John Owen Jr, Philadelphia, active c.1804-1840. Two spoons by J.B. McFadden, Pittsburg, active c.1840, and one spoon by Jean Baptiste Dumoutet, Philadelphia and Charleston, South Carolina, active 1793-1813. Each measuring approximately 9" to 9-3/8" long. All with stylized initial monograms. The three by John Owen Jr., with monograms on both sides. Overall weight of the six, 339.8 grams.
