Condition
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Small dent to the top of the Victorian example and some minor dints around the edges, sticky residue around and inside the detachable lid. Some minor loss of definition to the decoration with remnants of polish visible across the repousse scene. Likely removal of engraving to reverse cartouche on the Edwardian example, traces of a date remain with 'June 1st' partially visible. Hallmarks clear and legible.
