Original 10 in. black painted wooden dial signed “Warranted by Hotchkiss & Benedict” has gold Roman hour numerals and filigree corner spandrels, open aperture exposes a brass hand-form seconds indicator with brass bezel around the aperture; pierced brass weight driven movement numbered “No. 1425” has an hour strike on a bell at the top of the movement, solid brass pulleys and proper 8 day iron side weights. In a mahogany case with fruit basket carved crest, turned half columns in the base and original mirror in the door; signed on a paper label inside of the case “Hotchkiss & Benedict, Auburn, NY”.
