Marble And Bronze Napoleon Mantle Clock,c.1860. Bronze sculpture of Napoleon seated in a chair beside a globe titled “Veille de Wagram” (Eve of Wagram), on a green marble base with bronze ball feet; the 3 in. globe acting as the clock dial with Roman hour numerals on the front has a small round brass spring driven time only 1 day movement with cylinder escapement. The battle of Wagram (near Vienna) took place in July 1809 and was a gruesome battle and Napoleon's last great military victory. No damage or repairs, unsigned. Mainspring is broken, the clock partially winds but only ran for about 12-14 hours. 11.75 in. high x 10.75 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 18.5 lbs.
