Description

Item: Primitive Black Cloth Doll

Circa: 1920's/30's

This is a handmade primitive doll made from black cloth, stuffed with straw, with a painted face. The arms and legs are movable: they were made separately at attached with wire joints. The feet are over sized for the rest of the body. It is 8" tall by 4" wide by 1 3/4" deep. It is likely from the 1920s or 1930s. The condition is generally very good, with one frayed spot mostly on the back of the head.
