(lot of 5) Wedgwood and Co. black basalt ware group, each decorated with Classical style reserves, consisting of an inkstand, 1787-1795, modeled by William Hackwood, after a design by John Flaxman (British, 1755-1826) having a tapered form and rising on a plinth base, a cream jug, late 18th century, a miniature teapot 18th century, having polychrome floral decoration, and a Josiah Wedgwood and Sons cup and saucer, 1800-1830, modeled by John Flaxman, largest: 8"h. Property of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sold to Benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
