German 16th Century Style Suit of Armor 67''x26''x17''. Antique Medieval or Gothic suit of steel armor purchased at Holland & Holland Limited, London in 1987 for 9,500 pounds. Includes a close helmet with pierced visor, neck plates, Gorgiet and Globose breast plate with lance rest and back plate. Full arm defences including gauntlets full length leg defences and bear paw Sabatons with a Victorian Sword. No visible markings. Displayed on platform measuring 79'' total. Original receipt included. Provenance: The Baron de Cosson. The Wingfield Family Powerscourt. Private Collection, Washington.
