DESCRIPTION: John James Audubon (1785-1851). Hand colored lithograph printed by J.T. Bowen, Philadelphia 1848. Canis Familiaris, Hare-Indian Dog, Male. Plate CXXXII from The Vivaporous Quadrupeds of North America. Top left of plate labeled No. 27. In wooden frame with single mat. MEASUREMENTS: Sight 25-1/2" x 19". Overall with frame 32-1/2" x 26". CONDITION: Approximate 1" tear originating from right edge. Spotty toning, possibly old oil stains, in the margins. Not examined out of the frame.
