Don Celender (American, 1931-2005). Two whimsical card stock sheets comprising: 1.) Print for "Artball Playing Cards." Depicts 50 artists, critics, and gallerists whose heads have been photocollaged over those of baseball players in vintage trading cards. Signed, numbered, and dated at bottom right "Don Celender 84/200/1971." 2.) Print for "Holy, Holy Art Cards: Fancy Assorted Christmas Selection." Depicts 50 artists, critics, and gallerists whose heads have been photocollaged over those of biblical figures, saints, and notable clergy. Verso bears imprinted quotes from each of the art world figures on recto. Signed and dated at bottom right "Don Celender 1972."
