WILLIAM A. "BILLY" BISHOP
(1894-1956) Canadian aviator of World War I, officially credited with bringing down 72 enemy aircraft. S.P. 7" x 10" sepia, contained within "The People's War Book" [Cleveland: R. C. Barnum Co.], 392pp. 4to., a very detailed history of World War I. Bishop has signed beneath a printed image showing him from the waist, up in uniform, boldly signed in blue ink beneath the caption. Cracked at the gutter, as is often the case, spine a bit worn, else very good to fine.
