A nice Corinthian alabastron, c. 6th Century BC, the tall ovoid body with central ridge around the middle and flared foot, the neck is narrow with wide, flat rim and small handle. The body with a central brown band with dark brown horizontal bands over it, the ridge with groups of vertical lines and vertical tongues around the foot and shoulder, the wide rim also with vertical lines. H: 4 5/8 in (11.7 cm). Well-preserved. Ex German private collection, acquired in the early 1980’s.
