Description
Scarce first edition. pp. xviii, (2), 230 pages, with numerous full page plates & in-text illustrations. In a fine modern 1/2 Morocco Leather binding over matching marbled boards, gilt decorated spine with four raised bands and green and red Morocco labels. The plate for page 33 is erroneously bound on page 60. No wear/tear to covers, spine, ends, and corners. Pages with minor sporadic age toning are clean and bright. All pages are hinged, as issued , the binding is tight and intact. Perforated library stamp on title page & two date stamps, in ink, on first page of text. The leather is smooth and supple to the touch. A scholarly review of Japanese instruments, and musical scales.
