Description
We are very pleased to offer this exceptional tray of fine English Victorian porcelain, in that which appears to be the Nightshade pattern, potted by the fabled Worcester ca. 1881. Please note the incredible hand painted artwork, featuring exacting beaded gilded bands. The base mark on the tray is certified as the original 1867+ crown impression. Our experts will recall that by 1891 the Royal Worcester warrant was always used for identification, as well as the new crown seen with the famed Worcester dots (1 dot) beginning to the left of the stamp in 1892. Pre 1890's Worcester items are highly collectible. There is a thin old hairline to one side - see pictures. Measures 9.50"x11.50"x1". Weight is 2 pds 8 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.
Condition
good, old thin 3" hairline to top, nick on center
