Description
LOCKE ART GLASS TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, colorless and frosted, comprising a Violet pattern sweet pea vase with polished pontil mark, a Three Fruit small plate / saucer, and a Violet variation / Violet and Lines pattern Panel-Optic finger bowl with flared rim; each signed "Locke Art". Locke Art Glassware Co. Late 19th/early 20th century. Sweet pea vase 3" H, 6" D, bowl 2 5/8" H, 4 1/4" D, plate 6 1/4" D.
Undamaged, except sweet pea with a minute bruise near rim. Bowl with light polishing to rim, possibly as made.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Ken Lyon of Fishers Hill, VA.
Catalogue Note: The finger bowl's Panel-Optic design and flared rim are consistent with the No. 3 or No. 42 lines of Locke Art Glass, but it is not listed in the Lockes' "Locke Art Glass: A Guide for Collectors."
