NEW ENGLAND MINIATURE POINSETTIA PAPERWEIGHT, hexagonal form, faceted full round, with a printy window centered to each of the side panels, concave top ringed by six triangle facets, depicting red blossom with five over five pink petals, centered Lutz-type rose cane, with two green leaves issuing from behind the blossom, all on green stem with two leaves. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1850-1887. 1 3/4" D.
Virtually undamaged, with a few very minute nicks or wear to facet edges, less than expected wear to basal ring.
Literature: Rose cane parallels Hawley - The Art of the Paperweight: B&S and NEGC, p. 106, fig. 6.61.

Condition
