ANTIQUE SAINT LOUIS UPRIGHT BOUQUET PAPERWEIGHT, ball-form, faceted, with six evenly spaced printy windows, concave top, depicting a white blossom having four over four petals, centered within four evenly-spaced leaves, above an irregular bouquet featuring a red and a blue flower bud, complex millefiori canes, and green leaves, on inverted-trumpet stem, all above a blue-twist encased latticinio torsade, rayed base. Most likely Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis. Mid 19th century. 3 1/8" D.

Catalogue Note: The style of the petals and leaves, as well as the millefiori canes strongly indicate Saint Louis as the origin of this paperweight. Additionally, the direction of the torsade twist is consistent with Saint Louis paperweights, which is generally the opposite direction of similar examples by Baccarat.
