Health was responsible for him leaving Pittsburgh when he moved to the mountains of Dubois, Pa. which were the subjects of many of his landscapes. His paintings were sold in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia; and New York. Mr. Burfoot's portraits are second to none in the country. He did Lt. Gov. C. W. Stone which hangs in the capital at Harrisburg, Pa. ; as well as President McKinley.
