Description
Gun (A) is an interesting, all original, matching number shotgun. Manufactured in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. It was patented 1886. Features Damascus barrels, full rib, single bead, box lock, manual ejector, double trigger, round knob pistol grip checkered walnut stock with dog head composition buttplate. The barrels exhibit beautiful Damascus pattern in a brown-grey smooth patina with mirror bores. Case colors on frame have soften to a grey-brown patina. Walnut stock is very good with a couple of close hairlines at wrist. Wood has been refinished and the same could be said for the forend. Gun locks up tight with no wiggle. Has a 13-7/8" loop to trigger. Gun (B) is basically a mirror image of the above. Barrels have been cut from front. Barrels have a couple of minor dents. Has matching numbers. Metal basically grey patina. The wood has been refinished with added varnish and has worn checkering with a crack at the wrist.
