Description
Similar to the Model 1911 Swiss rifle with redesigned lock work, 25.7" barrel and six shot magazine. Approximately 528,000 made between 1933 to 1958. Many of these were imported to the United States. Utilizes the Schmidt Reuben design. This rifle can be found on pages 33-331 in the "Fifth Edition Standard Catalog of Military Firearms" by Peterson. Has the Reuben type large bolt pull ring and bolt handle. Matching number on barrel, frame and floorplate. Forward frame bridge has Swiss cross. Features blue finish, full length finger groove walnut stock, walnut forend, sling swivels, military front sight with protector ears and military rear sight. Metal retains the majority of its military blue finish with the exception of the front barrel band and some thinning on trigger guard and magazine. Very good to excellent stocks with usual dings. Previous owner mounted a Barsik 3x9x42 scope with side mounts. Comes with a period sling. Import stamped. Strong rifled bore and fine action.
