This model was introduced in 1952. This is a very early model that features the aluminum alloy round butt J service frame with alloy cylinder and steel barrel. It is a five shot, double action, flat latch with pin barrel. Matching serial number on end of cylinder and under barrel flat. The trigger and hammer retain virtually all of their original factory case colors. Revolver sports silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips with black disks. Right panel has matching serial number. In 1954 the alloy cylinder was changed to steel due to cracking which puts this revolver in the 1952-1953 production only. Surviving matching early models with alloy cylinder are nearly impossible to find as many revolvers had the cylinders replaced. This revolver remains in 97-98% all original factory condition. Cylinder has light drag line and high edge wear to the enamel finish, along with some light high edge frame wear. Steel barrel has some high edge muzzle wear. Grips are near mint, indexes perfectly both single and double action with an excellent strong rifled bore. It should be noted that these aluminum cylinder models are quite scarce but should not be fired.
