Description
According to the factory research this gun was produced November 28th, 1966. The MCA Magnum rifles were never marked "Magnum" and the basic difference is the straight butter knife bolt and the strengthening of base. Stock number matches barrel and frame. It is reported that Mannlicher manufactured 80 rifles but the factory has no record of total models. That said, this is the only example we have ever personally seen. Features hooded ramp front sight, two leaf folding rear sight and single trigger. Bridge is factory drilled for scope mount. Bolt is polished and balance of metal is blue finish. The pistol grip checkered walnut stock has Monte Carlo comb. Forend does not have the black tip. It looks factory but we have no way to determine as this is a factory half stock rifle and whether this was custom ordered. Rifle remains in near mint condition inside and out retaining virtually all of its original finish. Beautiful wood. If you have been looking for a .458 Mannlicher, this may be your last chance to own one for a long while.
