Description
Manufactured 1934. The .22 Hornet was one of the hottest new cartridges on the block at the time this beautiful rifle was manufactured. These are rarely seen chambered for this caliber. The rust blue frame and barrel retain fully 98-99% original finish with Winchester sporting rear sight and hooded ramp front sight. Bolt is electro-pencil etched on bottom with matching serial number. Action is perfect. Bore is like new. The floorplate and trigger guard retain 95% of the original factory blue finish with a few storage scuffs. Rifle sports a Lyman 48 receiver sight. Walnut stocks features pistol grip and fine checkering. Stock is near mint with original finish and just a couple of very minor impressions. Even the checkered steel buttplate retains 95% of the original blue finish. Has deluxe Super Grade style sling swivels. This is arguably one of the finest .22 hornet 54 rifles we have encountered.
