Description
This revolver was manufactured 1931 to 1941 and was sent to King for custom work. Including King stamped ramp reflector base with a King stamped No. 140 blade, King micrometer click adjusting windage and elevation rear sight with automatic lock, registered U.S. Patent Office Smith & Wesson hammer, King customized and checkered offset, serrated trigger, and sports a pair of King checkered walnut thumbrest target grips. King has honed the action and customized to fire single action only with the smoothest let off you've ever tried. In King's No. 19 catalog, they offered this model already fitted, sans grips, for $61 with grips an additional $8, which was almost twice the price of a standard gun. The barrel has some thinning on top, retaining 75-80% blue. Cylinder has light drag line. Frame and cylinder retain approximately 90% of the original Smith & Wesson high polish mirror blue finish. Action is unbelievable. Near mint bore. Grips are excellent. A rarely seen King N frame Smith & Wesson.
