Period flag pole tops rarely survive. This one is made from one piece of iron. There eagle is very detailed with feathers on the wings, eyes, and beak. The original paint depicts the American flag with the tail representing the stars and the body representing the stripes. There is some loss to the tips of the wings. Most of the paint is still present but it does have some losses, some yellowing to paint. Measures 3 inches wide x 3 ¼ inches long x 2 ¼ inches tall.
