Tintype of Baseball Players in Uniform Tower City, PA
c. 1870 Tintype of Tower City, Pennsylvania Baseball Players in Uniform (Near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania).
Circa 1870 tintype featuring two Tower City baseball players in uniform. Interesting backdrop with outdoor scene and castle. Uniforms are marked across the chest as "Tower City". Condition: black line on left looks like a scratch in the image, but appears in person to have occurred during the developing process. Light scuffs, edge bumps and slight rust on back. Overall quite impressive for display. The lettering is reversed as is typical for 19th century tintypes. (Tower City is located near Harrisburg, PA -the region this image was found in). "Carte-de-Visite" sized image. Approximate size is 2-3/8" x 3-3/8". Much Less Common To Find Baseball Tintypes Where The Team Is Clearly Identified In The Uniform.
