Description
Quatrefoil shaped teapot with swan finial on lid and 8 fluted & footed handle less cups and saucers, circa 1790 on pearl ware bodies all with hand painted polychrome rose decoration. Teapot os 4 3/4" x 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" high, saucers are 5 1/2" diameter. When purchase in the 1980's the seller said that this tea set was from the John Hancock family. and has typed note the tale of the original purchase and later descent through 1952
Condition
A few with tiny glaze flakes, else Fine.
