Northern Europe, Baltics to Scandinavia, ca. 1000 CE. A rare and beautiful bronze bracelet comprised of central bronze wire core around which was wrapped a thin continuous bronze wrapping giving the bracelet an almost snake-skin appearance which was then twisted into a triple braid. The small size indicates this was for a youth or young woman. Gorgeous green patina. Size: 2.875" W (7.3 cm)
