Description
Continental, mid to late 19th century. A pair of Neoclassical bronze three-light candelabrum, each depicting a centaur on hind legs on a tiered pedestal, decorated with scales, acanthus leaves, and grotesque dolphin masks, holding a scrolling acanthine horn, dividing into three arms, each with a foliated and gadrooned candle cup, the whole on a square black marble base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 13.75", width 8.825", depth 4.25".
